ABOUT GLOBAL CRANE & SERVICE

In 2004, Global Crane & Service was founded by Mr. Laura Mays and the Mays Family, bringing decades of experience in the material handling industry, specifically in overhead cranes and hoists. Mr. Mays began his career in the early 1950s as a salesman for Dresser Industries and later established Anchor Crane & Hoist in 1969, where the family became involved in the business.

As the company expanded, it was eventually acquired by RPC while still under the management of the Mays family, until 2004 when they decided to re-enter the crane industry. This marked the inception of Global Crane. Leveraging the Mays family’s rich legacy, expertise, and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, Global Crane was built upon a strong foundation of quality engineering, manufacturing, parts, service, and installation know-how in the overhead crane sector.

In 2023, as part of our strategic growth plan, Flatiron Lift Systems acquired Global Crane in April, thereby integrating Global Crane into the broader Flatiron Network and continuing the proud heritage of Global Crane.
