Overhead Crane Remote Control Systems
An overhead crane remote improves both safety and lift control. By removing the operator from the lift area, an overhead remote control increases visibility. Crane operators can reposition themselves for a clearer view of the load, lifting equipment, and delivery area, leading to greater accuracy and efficiency when handling complex and oversized materials.
How do Overhead Crane Remote Control Systems Work?
Global Crane remote controls consist of two parts: a portable transmitter that generates signals and a receiver installed on the crane and is electrically connected to the unit’s motor controls. Our remotes adapt to over 95 percent of lifting and crane applications, including standard 3-motion, 2-speed hoist cranes and 3-motion, 2-speed dual hoist cranes. Constructed from industrial-strength materials, they’re capable of operating reliably for years under even the harshest conditions.
Radio controls allow you to manage all crane functions from a single device. Overhead crane remote systems can be operated in tandem with electric hoists and a variety of other crane systems, providing higher load capacity and control when lifting and transporting heavy objects.
Global Crane remote controls provide maximum flexibility during lifting operations. To ensure safety, relays drop when the transmitter is malfunctioning, out of range, or out of power. Fixed position and wireless crane control systems are available, allowing you to customize set-up and operation to an even greater degree.
